All over Toronto, essential workers are rising to the occasion to help us get through this challenging time, and all of them deserve our heartfelt thanks for their courage and commitment to their communities.
There are the workers who, alongside our nurses and other healthcare professionals, are keeping the hospitals clean and running smoothly. There are the transit workers who keep the residents of our city moving around safely through our transit system. There are the power workers who work to keep the power to all those who live here. The grocery store employees who are keeping access to food and supplies available to us. All of them are vital!
So if you haven’t already, take a moment to thank those who get up each day and go to work knowing that they are putting themselves and their families at risk so that we can enjoy the comfort of our essential services.
