Canadians will have one extra month to file their taxes to the Canada Revenue Agency.
The announcement was made by federal ministers as part of a larger series of financial measures to assist Canadian individuals and governments through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The due date for filing individual tax returns has been extended to June 1, 2020. Taxpayers will have until September 1, 2020 to pay any 2019 income tax amounts owed.
