The Energy Credit Union to observe National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

The Government of Canada passed legislation recently to designate September 30 as a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honour Survivors, their families, and communities, and ensure that public commemoration of the history and legacy of residential schools remains a vital component of the reconciliation process.

To help create awareness amongst staff and our members, The Energy Credit Union will be observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. To encourage The Energy Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to reflection, learning and growth in our own communities, our branches will be closed to members on September 30, 2021. Creating time and space for our staff to further the truth and reconciliation process in their own personal way is in line with our core values of Trust, Loyalty and Compassion and we would like to encourage all our members to engage with local communities in activities that promote reconciliation to commemorate the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Please be advised that our branch locations and Member Solution Centre will be closed to observe the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on Thursday September 30th, 2021. Branches will re-open on Friday October 1st, 2021.
