One Year Anniversary

On March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a Global Pandemic that would shape and change our lives forever.

With that – we would rather not focus on the negative impacts of the last year.  We know all too well of the many challenges that we have all been through.  We would like to take this time however, to acknowledge and remember all of the lives lost and remember them.  Our heartfelt sympathies to you and your loved ones.

We also want to take this opportunity to recognize all of our heroes who have made sacrifices and contributions in bringing us to where we are today.  For the first time since that dreadful day there is hope on the horizon, light at the end of this very dark tunnel and a sense that we may regain a sense of normalcy very soon.

As a closed bond Credit Union, our Members have been working on the front lines since the start of this pandemic.

To our Health Care Members and all Health Care Professionals who have worked tirelessly to help keep us safe-we Thank You.

To our Utilities Members who have ensured our lights stay on during this dark period in our history-we Thank You.

To our Transportation Members for making sure that we can get to work and for ensuring goods continue to flow across the Country and Borders-we Thank You.

To our other Essential Worker Members and their families-we Thank You.

We would like to thank all of our Members for having confidence in the Credit Union, for showing us patience during these difficult times and for allowing us to bring you as much peace of mind as we could provide in times of so much uncertainty.

To our staff, words cannot express our gratitude over these past 12 months.  Your commitment to the Credit Union and to serving our members selflessly on the front lines since Day One of the Pandemic and everyday since – has truly helped make a positive difference in someone’s life.

In the WHO Director General’s Opening Remarks during the media briefing on the declaration of the Pandemic-they stated “We’re in this together, to do the right things with calm and protect the citizens of the world. It’s doable.”

Our staff have certainly lived up to this statement-not allowing fear and anxiety from the Pandemic to get the better of them but to continue to serve our members in a manner that shows we are in this together- while maintaining social distancing and helping to keep both our members and each other safe.

On Behalf of the CEO & Management Team-THANK YOU: Marylyn (Beth) Wallace, Nicole Lake, Cori Andrade, Marcia Ritchie, Carmen Guarrasi, Avanti Dhamale, Miriam Rivera, Judith (Judi) Ward and our entire Call Centre Team.  Thank you for your hard work and commitment.

We hope that everyone continues to remain healthy and safe.  We also wish everyone a prosperous 2021.
