Members who are eligible to receive the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) through the Government of Canada can have their payments deposited into their CU accounts via direct deposit. This fast and easy system will enable you to continue to bank while staying safe. Funds are sent to your account right away. No need to wait for cheques to arrive in the mail and then having to get to the branch with your deposit.
If you have stopped working because of COVID-19, the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) may provide you with temporary income support. The CERB provides $500 a week for up to 16 weeks. Additional information and questions about the CERB can be found at the Government of Canada’s website.
