Did you know that when you log into your account on the CRA website they have an “Uncashed Cheque” search function? You can easily look and see if the government has issued any cheques to you that are still uncashed.
If you havn’t created your account online at the CRA you may want to get it started. The process of accessing your CRA account online is a little cumbersome (for security reasons) and once you initiated the process online you will be mailed an access code to the address held on file with CRA. So, if you need to update your address first, there will be added time to factor in before you can see your accounts online. There is a lot if info there and the user interface got a recent update so information is very easy to find now.
This is where you can find out your TFSA and RRSP contribution room. You can get an income statement set up your direct deposit (call our offices if you need your MICR numbers).
