Spend a fun day as we join a tour with guide Peter Brotherhood at the picturesque 200-acre Haute Goat Farm, just north of Port Hope and overlooking the scenic Oak Ridge Moraine. After a brief orientation tour we’ll visit the delightful Nigerian Dwarf Goats in their playground where, if you wish, you may enjoy a Goat ‘Shmurgle’ (snuggle, cuddle and hug!) We’ll also enjoy a Full Course Luncheon at their Café: Pizza Bianca Bechamel (with Roasted Red Peppers, Artichokes, Charred Leeks, Roasted Garlic Chili Drizzle and a 3-Cheese Blend) or Baked Ziti (Penne Pasta with a Tomato Bolognese Ragu, Fresh Herbs and a 3-Cheese Blend – please advise your choice at time of booking.) There will also be time to shop for their premium goat milk products here, from Goat Butter Caramel Corn to luxurious skin care products such as Goat Milk Soaps and Face Creams.
Next, we will participate in the ‘Alpaca Knuckle Shuffle’ where we learn about alpacas and lead them around in an enclosed pen. Feel free to take photos! Following our visit to the Farm we’ll make a stop at the Ganaraska River, where we’ll watch the power of nature as the salmon ascend the fish ladder to breed upriver.
