To help keep our members safe during this unprecedented time, our AGM will be taking place on May 15 at 4pm via Virtual Meeting. Members may participate in the meeting through a Desktop/Laptop Computer, Tablet or Mobile Device or by phone.
All members will need to register to attend the AGM by contacting the Credit Union in advance to be added to our registration list. Registration will close on May 15 at 12pm to allow our team to prepare for the meeting. Members must be in good standing, meaning shares must be up to date. For security purposes, Members will be asked for their email address and/or phone number that you will be using to enter the virtual meeting; any discrepancy may cause delays in gaining access to the meeting.
Please be advised that for joint account holders who plan to attend the virtual meeting, a separate registration will be required. If other Energy CU members in the same family or household want to participate using the same computer, the vote will only count once. Each voting member that wishes to have their vote count must use a separate device. There will be no elections for board positions at this time, all positions were filled through acclimation in accordance with Energy CU requirements. Voting will be used to pass motions only. Members will receive the registration link for the AGM on the day of the meeting via email. If you choose to participate via phone only, Credit Union staff will contact you to provide the phone number and details to call into the meeting, on the day of the meeting.
The Credit Union will host a virtual AGM Test Run on Monday May 11 at 1pm for members wishing to attend. This will give members a chance to test audio and visual components before the actual meeting. Members must indicate to staff at the time of registration whether they wish to participate in this testing meeting. Please note: TECU staff will not be able to provide tech/troubleshooting support during the actual meeting on May 15.
Members will participate in the meeting in listen only mode. Online members will be expected to answer poll questions pertaining to motions. All members will be provided an opportunity to have questions answered at the end of the meeting, and all lines will be un-muted at this time.
The meeting is expected to last for 30-45 minutes. There will be no prizes. Financial Statements will be available 10 days in advance of the meeting on request. It is recommended that participating members join the virtual meeting online through a Desktop Computer, Tablet or Mobile Device in order to follow along with the Agenda and AGM Report to obtain the best experience.
The meeting will be recorded and shared on our website after the event for members not able to attend.
