November is Financial Literacy Month!

November is Financial Literacy Month (FLM). FLM is coordinated by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada and encourages organizations from the public, private and non-profit sectors to collaborate and promote the financial well-being of Canadians. Here at The Energy CU we are joining in with our Money Maintenance Check. All members who receive a CU loan in the month of November will have the option of receiving a complementary copy of “A Canadian’s Guide to Money-Smart Living” By Kelley Keehn. Throughout the rest of the year this book is available to those members who opt to participate in our Money Maintenance Check Program, but during the month of November we’d like to high-lite the importance of financial literacy and the well being that it can bring to our members and their families. The lending process at the Energy CU gives us a unique look into the member’s full picture. Sometime this acts as a wake up call to members and other times it acts as a confirmation that they are in the right track. If you are interested in a loan or a Money Maintenance Check why not contact us today. Just call our offices 416-238-5606.  Financial Literacy is something that all our members can benefit from!
