A Day Away … visiting Vittoria, Port Dover and Waterdown

On this pleasant outing we travel south into Norfolk County to visit the Good Bread Company, located in the historic town of Vittoria. At this local artisan bread company, there’s over 50 varieties of bread, including fruit loaves, cheese breads and varieties suitable for those with dietary restrictions and food sensitivities. From Vittoria it’s a short drive over to charming Port Dover, where you’ll enjoy a Luncheon of Choice at the popular Erie Beach Hotel. Start with a selection of Salads, then enjoy fresh Perch and Fries or Grilled Chicken Breast and Fries. Finish off with Sherbet and Tea/Coffee. After lunch we’ll return to Vittoria to visit Kernal Peanuts, the largest producer of Canadian-grown peanuts. Browse their gift shop with its assortment of Peanut and other Nut varieties, plus Candies, Fudge, Cider and Gift Baskets. Leaving Norfolk County we’ll head for home, making a stop enroute in Waterdown to visit the Dutch Mill Country Market for a little shopping and browsing time, and perhaps a coffee on your own.
