Thank you to all members who attended our 70th Annual General Meeting on April 3, 2009. A good time was had by all, as we enjoyed reminiscing with old friends, a buffet dinner and great prizes. Business was usual as Retford and Lane were once again named by you as your External Auditors for the next Fiscal Year. Members were briefed on the financial statements of the Credit Union, and Johanne Dupont was newly appointed to The Board of Directors, with Mychajlo Tymciw being re-elected for a 3-year term. A special thank you goes out to our Internal Auditor, Rick Belsby, for once again donating tickets to the Raptors Game as a prize. Thank you to both Sharon Wilson from Comprehensive Benefit Solutions and Ruth Sokolik from CRI Canada our Loan/Mortgage Insurance provider for donating a lovely gift basket and digital picture frame respectively. Lastly we would like to thank The Personal Insurance for donating a travel suitcase for members filling out ballots at the beginning of the evening.
In honour of our 70th Annual General Meeting, TEUCU brought out a special guest speaker. Fiorella Callocchia of HR Impact gave our members a 15 minute presentation on goal setting. Members were informed that in order to achieve their goals, they had to be SMART: Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Relevent and Time-Dimensioned. Thank you Fiorella for donating 2 books to our draw, your expertise and for making this special anniversary memorable.
Thank-you again to The Toronto Hydro Stars for providing us with a framed Toronto Hydro hockey jersey in honour of their Canadian Electric Power Hockey Championship win. We are proud sponsors and proud to display the jersey in our office.
