CRUISING IN THE KAWARTHAS – Friday, June 15th, 2012

The Kawartha community of Bobcaygeon, nestled along the Trent-Severn Waterway between Sturgeon and Pigeon Lakes, is the location of the famous Lock 32, the first Lock to be built on the Waterway in 1832. On this pleasant day trip into the Kawarthas, we’ll start in Peterborough with a Buffet Luncheon at the popular Carousel Restaurant. Following our luncheon, we’ll motor up to Bobcaygeon, where we board the 200-passenger ‘Kawartha Spirit.’ From Bobcaygeon, enjoy a 2 hour cruise across Pigeon and Buckhorn Lakes to the town of Buckhorn, where your tour coach will be awaiting your arrival. From here, we head to nearby Curve Lake for a visit to the famous Whetung’s Ojibway Handcrafts Store and Art Gallery.

Leaving Curve Lake we head for home. Sound interesting? Please give our offices a call to book your spot on the bus now! Space will fill up fast!
